The Best Present Ever!

We got a rude awakening this morning even earlier than i could have predicted! ...and Nina came bearing a gift in her pants *LOL .. the elusive poop has now show itself and everyones feeling just that much more peachy than yesterday .. thank God! 6 days it took, poor lil mite, but we got there in the end... so, today, so far, has gone like this:
6.45am Nina woke up; had nappy changed and went back to sleep
7.45am Nina woke up again; woke everyone else up; Lauren got up and we all snuggled in bed for 20 minutes
8.05am Nina found a present at the end of the bed and remembered it was her birthday ...hurray!
8.25am Nina came downstairs, spotted lots of balloons then found *shouts rather exciteably.. "A BIKE!! A BIKE!! A BIKE!!" =)


8.45am Lauren left for school ...*waves @ tha window
9.10am Lauren calls from her form room to sing happy birthday to Nina... i put her on speaker phone and the whole of Laurens class sang down the fone... i didn't know she was going to do that, i would have asked her not to if i had have known.. it was actually rather sweet and Nina loved it =)
9.15am All presents are now opened ...teletubbies house for the bath, a Pooh Bear guitar, CD player and CDs, Disney Princess Ball... and Boogie Beebies DVDs, then of course the bike... yippee!!
9.45am All breakfasted now and dancing around to Boogie Beebies
10.15am I escaped for an uninterrupted bath ... bliss!
11.00am Am just dry and lay on the bed when there is a knock at the door ..Uncle Marks here with yet more tales of his wonderful life/grandkids/wife/holidays/kids etc.. leaves me feeling kinda bad.. but thats never his intention, i'm guessing :/ ...Nina won't interact and i try to explain that its nothing personal ...does he understand? i don't know..? i imagine his grandkids are all very sociable indeed!
11.15am Ben escapes and goes to bed but Nina realises and follows him
11.30am Uncle Mark wants to say goodbye to Nina but i go upstairs and both Nina and Ben are flat out.. so Mark leaves and...

...i've just spent the last hour and a half on my own catching up online, with blogs/banking/mails etc and listening to the new self-titled Corinne Bailey Rae album and its brill .. i haven't listened to music in such a long time.. normally there is a child screaming in the background, or a TV program on or Lauren has her music on.. this was lovely, it finished too quickly which is a good sign.. i recommend Corinne to everyone ...it's now almost 1pm tho so i'm off to wake 'the kids' as my folks will be over some time very soon... we've got a hectic day.. Laurens recital is later- i think Ben will be going but i'm going to empty my fone so he can film is and then i'm hoping to be able to bl'oof it to the puter to post here...
I'm having a lovely day today; i hope you are too =)
