BB7 Latest
I'm fluctuating ;) ...i have (or had) no great intense dislike or liking for any particular HM other than Pete- in Pete, even the things that would annoy me in other HMs are acceptable- he's just the sort of guy who gets away with things by looking cheeky rather than manipulative or nasty... i still think he will win- or at least, if the GBP had to vote now then he would win- in another 11 weeks tho, who knows which other HMs are going to have a fanbase with other exicted HMs fans on board. If i really did dislike the personality of a HM then i'd find it difficult to like pretty much anything about them but i'm not getting that so some days i like HM'a' and then next i don't and vice versa- i think i need to watch a little more to decide who are my definites to be there at the end (with Pete) ..today's eviction day and i most definitely want Richard to go- Sezer is cock-sure of himself and arrogant and he does strut about the place but he doesn't anger me in the way Richard does... possibly, Sezer comes across as not knowing any better and that makes it only slightly more acceptable than Richard, who seems to be throwing his mature weight about and thinks if he uses big words then he is somewhat better than other HMs... what i used to like about Richard is now the same reason he niggles me so much ...Lea, on the other hand is starting to grow on me- she is the Tart with a Heart ... a tainted heart maybe but i don't think it would be fair if she left tonight- i doubt her reception would be a good one and i think she'd benefit from staying in the house without Richard around... likewise with Sezer- his reception wouldn't be great either- he's annoyed quite a lot of veiwers, i believe, with his cockiness but i'm beginning to appreciate that he is a big character in the house and he is playing the game and thats always fun to see how a persons mind is working when the logic of BB is thrown at them... as a rule, i don't vote unless my favourite is up for the chop and then i only vote once just so i can say that i did if my 'chosen one' goes...tonight, i am feeling compelled to make one vote as neccessary in order to say i at least tried to oust Richard
So, You Wanna Be In The Movies, Huh?
i've been keeping up to date with Kyle at one red paperclip in his quest to trade up from one red paperclip to a house and really thought that he was only a couple of trades away from realising his dream... latest trades have gone from recording contracts, to a years free rent in Phoenix, an afternoon with Alice Cooper.. and then Kyle dropped the bombshell that he'd actually traded that afternoon with Alice for a Kiss Snowglobe ...eek!! ..my initial reaction was disappointment... then i felt bad for feeling that as what the hell has it got to do with me *L .. i don't leave comments too often (paranoia about other people commenting on my comment) but i was curious to see what other followers had to say on the latest trade and boy, they're a harsh bunch of critics ...some even saying that they washed their hands of ORP and wouldn't be 'tuning' in no more... but it wasn't that for me- the disappoint was about wanting to see Kyle go up ..and up .. and up ..then get a house- i never for a second thought about set backs.. or even step backs.. but i guess they hit us all at some point in whatever we happen to be doing.. the real crime here are the offers that came in for the afternoon with Alice Cooper (and i might just comment on that over at ORP) ...i remember a firetruck was one but no others made an impact- anyway, needless to say, i haven't lost any interest in ORP- not a jot- and i read some of the offers for the snowglobe a few days back (apparantly if you want one they are going on eBay for $50 (i don't know the £ equivalent- sorry *L) but there wasn't really that much on offer: a microphone; a job- a neat offer; 500 coconut belts; Star Wars Trilogy on VHS -not great huh ...until... well check out who's stepped in with this offer:
Kyles not said as such but if you knew that you had already been offered the 'Role in a Movie' trade by someone (famous) who was a collector of snowglobes.. and you had the offer of a snowglobe in exchange for an afternoon with Alice Cooper, you might just take that side step on the journey to acquiring a house, right? ...is this one in the eye for those who ever doubted Kyles determination..? i'd like to think so *LOLHey Kyle, I heard about your project on KROQ last month. I didn't really have a use for a place in Phoenix or an afternoon with Alice Cooper, but when I found out about you traded for that glitter globe I stopped in my tracks. I've been collecting snow globes quite a while now and this is the kind of thing I could totally use in my collection. Not only do I want the KISS snow globe, I need it! (For reference, and I say this knowing full well it makes me sound like a total schmo, I'm the actor who was on LA LAW and in the Major League movies - and yes, those will go on the tombstone, I'm sure - Here lies Arnie Becker and Roger Dorn.) Well, I've been redirecting that potential by making movies lately with my company Public Media Works. We completed our first film last year called Carpool Guy - www.carpoolguy.com . My company makes movies specifically for fanbases. So this movie was made for Soap Opera fans.
My offer for the snow globe is a credited speaking role in one of our upcoming films, Donna on Demand. I'll throw in a round trip ticket from anywhere in the world to the shooting location and will provide room and board for the actor/actress for the duration of their stay - per our need to have them there and take care of meals etc. If whoever you trade with doesn't quite fit the bill for a character in the film, we will write a speaking role based on their character into the film. We will also compensate them according the the union agreements we have in place for that film. So there it is, a Role in a Movie (sometime during the next year) I hope this generates some activity for you, either upward toward the house or lateral move for position.

..now its not definite -nothings official yet- but, you know.. if you're dreaming of a career in Hollywood and have something worthwhile to offer, or a General Lee- pop on over to one red paperclip and lay your cards on the table- and never doubt your offer- an afternoon with Alice Cooper for a Kiss Snowglobe- crikey- if i'd have known it would go that easy then i'd have had a look round for something to offer too =)

I think your obsession with Big Brother is scary =P You should rent Family Guy and watch that instead!
Oh, and I'm lost on that paperclip story. Did this happen to a friend of yours?
you're probably right easy e altho its not an obsession - the World Cup starts Friday and BB will not even be in the running *L ..
altho, truth is- i never intended to write so much about BB7 but its just been so different to other years- people wanting out, being thrown out (thats only ever happened once before way back in BB1), new people arriving and we're still only 17 days in ..plus 91.6% in a three way vote is a new record- that guys gonna get some much hassle in the streets now *LOL ... my ill health lately also means i possibly do keep up to date with Big Brother more than i should- simply because sitting upright in the computer chair is the most comfy i can get- bizarrely tho, i haven't actually watched the LIVE footage at any great lengths and the days of staying up to watch a bunch of sleeping HMs are a thing of the past too =)
See- BB:UK is so different to BB:USA ...its all about the audience participation- we vote* for who we want to go each week and we vote* for the final winner of the programme too ...one year we did have the option to view BB:USA and it was fantastic watching your housemates backstab but in the BB:UK version you aren't allowed to discuss the nominations at all- everything about nominations is done in secret with each housemate being called to the Diary Room to give the names of 2 housemates they want up for eviction...
i embrace BB *LOL .. i think thats the bottom line- i get caught up i the games the housemates are playing, and the relationshps forming in the house and the downright two-faced-ness of some of the people who are nothing more than basic media whores... every year i scream and shout and moan and complain that i'm not going to watch this tripe but finally, i have admitted to myself that i actually do jsut like the show...
so there, i admitted it.. :P
hmmmmm ... when does a comment become a post...? ..before or after 400 words ;)
* if you're so inclined to reach into your pockets, that is
oh.. and, within reach i have the first 3 series of Family Guy on disc =) ...good choice!
