Monday Madness: Accident Prone

  1. I have broken two bones in my lifetime- both during the same incident.. i slipped and landed on my hand awkwardly and broke my wrist and my thumb in various places.. my wrist was cast incorrectly and had to be reset... *whimpers ..my thumb never really recovered fully and i find now, 16 years later, that it breaks with only the slightest of knocks =(
  2. I have had to get far too many stitches! ..on just one occassion i had 18 external stitches and 15 external staples- the was no record of how many internal stitches i had to have -i have had stitches on four seperate occassions.. on one other occassion i really should have had stitches put in a glass wound on my foot but they weren't offered and the wound still gives me jip to this day =(
  3. The worst I've ever injured myself was when i was maybe 5 years old and learning to ride a bike ..my dad told me he would hold onto the back of the saddle and would run along with me as i built up speed... i was doing brilliantly until i realise he was rotten liar and i rode up a tree *LOL
  4. I've had to go to the Emergency room so many times that i wouldn't like to hazard a guess =/
  5. On a scale of 1 (being the highest) to 10 (being the lowest), my pain tolerance is a 1 -when it really matters- i can go thro major surgery and not think anything of it... give me a splinter in the palm of my hand and i'm at least an 11 *ahem

Just stopping in to read your MM. I chuckled when I read about your childhood bike experience. I know it is not funny, but it reminded me of the trauma I experienced on a motorcycle as a child. I still will not get near one to this day. My dad assured me things would be okay, and I found myself pinned under the rear end of a truck. He was a liar too! Have a great week!
