Monday Madness: From Tricia

  1. How many cop shows can you name? ...crikey- i think i'll list them as i think of them: Dempsey & Makepeace, The Sweeney, Life on Mars, The Bill, Juliet Bravo, The Gentle Touch, Hill Street Blues ..all classics =)
  2. Do you send text messages? ...i do- but not very often... i get 50 free text messages a month and never use them all up- i'll send a text if i have information to pass so that the recipient has the details to hand like meet up times or a phone number.. or i'll text my dad as he is a driver so i don't want him answering the fone and putting himself in any danger ...other than that i'll send a few 'hey, how are you?' messages just to keep in touch when i don't have too much spare time.
  3. If you could be on a gameshow (current or old), which one would you be on and why? ...Who Wants to Be a Millionaire is genius but i'd be petrified of falling foul to those daft questions they ask to get you up to £1,000 .. so maybe Deal or No Deal as you have no questions... except one: Deal or No Deal? *giggles
  4. What are some of your favorite websites? ...i bookmark or blogroll my favourites so have a gander down the side bar for any links i may have posted
  5. What are your favorite things about the internet? ...access to the Whole Wide World ;)
  6. What about least favorite? ...vicious, nasty people =((
  7. What are some good ways to deal with a pet loss? ...I've known some people who immediately replace a pet but i don't think thats dealing with pet loss- thats just covering up ...i think that time really is the greatest healer and whilst not feeling like you are doing anything, time passing should make things a little easier... i think it depends on the person really- do you want to have a cry every now and again and remember some good times or are you the sort of person who likes to keep things to themselves and not discuss whats happened... loss is a very personal thing

ok I never heard of most of shows you posted so I am off to use the web to research...I am SO nosy....and agree that immediately replacing a pet is not often best way to deal with the loss.

I haven't heard of any of those cop shows! The UK is such a strange place =P

I understand your reasoning about Microsoft, and I sympathize. They weren't always this way though, and they do produce some good software, even though their worst stuff gets the most press.

Even the Garfield comic strip has gone down in quality, I'm afraid. I remember a time when it was more than just making fun of Jon for being a loser.

Wouldn't you like to know what my postcard is ;) I actually have yet to send one in yet. I have some ideas of what it could be, but I want it to be really creative. Sorry you cried for some of them though, I tend to not dwell on them. When it comes down to it, those who are punished for being good are due for super great stuff to happen to them.

Oh, and what is NB?

I used to post Garfield strips on here occassionally.. and even saved some for use in future.. i have them appear daily on My Yahoo! but they don't have the laughability factor they once had =(

Hey Tilly... I think your answer to #7 is really good. I agree that dealing with a loss is a personal thing. Loved reading the rest of your answers as well; as always.

Have a great week! =) ~Otto

thank you nat, easy e, and tiffers for your visits and your comments =) ..i'm going to check you out nat and see if you've taken your moms advice to post your MMs this week *LOL

i looked further into NB to make sure i was on the right track this time easy e *LOL

I'd have said 'NB' was like an addition or 'one last thing' ...a footnote but i wanted to know what those letters actually stood for- i assumed latin =) ..and found this below:

NB: NB, n.b., please note – the Latin phrase Nota Bene

taken from Wikipedia [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NB] but in more depth at [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nota_Bene]
