The End of a Red Era?
When i read a little while back that Kyle MacDonald was going to end his quest (to go from paperclip to house) exactly one year from the day he first placed an ad on blogspot i really didn't think it would be possible for Kyle to get to where he wanted to be =( ..i jumped on Kyles bandwagon about 5 steps in and wasn't convinced that he'd ever get to the 'big prize' but with gathering momentum i soon came round to thinking this guys got balls and the house was a real possibility.. i had the same reaction as most of the people who commented when Kyle traded 'An Afternoon with Alice Cooper' for a Kiss Snowglobe..? ...surely Alice was worth more than that to someone, anyone? ..i lost my faith momentarily- until Kyle (who no-doubtedly had insider information) revealed that Corbin Bernsen was an avid collector of snowglobes and there was a role in a Hollywood movie up for grabs in return for that trade... the offers coming in were totally off key: cows, guided tours, knife collections, gold teeth, motorbikes, holidays .. the list was (not really, but metaphorically) endless but nothing could match the offer from the town of Kipling Saskatchewan: 503 Main Street
So i'm kinda sad today, but as 'they' say "all good things....." ...but with the offer of book publishings and movie roles in the pipeline i'm sure Kyle's gonna be around for a little while yet
Congratulations Kyle and Dom -and i hope your home is a happy one =))
