The Wiggles Are In Town =)

This morning was lovely as Ben wasn't in work and Lauren wasn't expected in school either so we all had breakfast together ...we'd decided not to mention The Wiggles concert to Nina as a) she wouldn't have any concept of what we were saying and b) if we say we are going anywhere then she wants to go then, there, NOW!! ...everything was timed to perfection and Nina looked like such a cutie walking off down the street with her backpack of goodies...the journey started with a bus ride -not a big deal to many but Nina LOVES the buses but we managed to top that today- her first train ride "they go fast with lots of windows" apparantly *vbg ...the train arrived with 15 minutes to spare and a 10 minute walk so it was great- Nina bores easily and any more spare time and she could have quite easily be traumatised for the rest of the day but once she saw the 40 foot banner with The Wiggles on she was in her element, singing and dancing and they hadn't even gotten in the theatre yet *L .. i wish i could have seen her face but Ben assured me that she was good as gold and enjoyed every single minute of it... The Wiggles didn't disappoint and sang all the old favourites plus a couple of new ones that no doubt we'll see on the TV soon...and Henry the Octopus was there, with Capt Feathersword, Dorothy the Dinosaur and Wags the Dog too =) Ben did take the camera and i was hoping for a storyboard but he didn't get many shots but i do love this one:

All the way home on the train Nina had an audience whilst she sang "Do the monkey.. ooh ooh ah ah ooh ooh ah ah" *L .. and even Boris Johnson gave her a cheeky grin... she's been back almost 3 hours now and is still going on and on about it.. that was money very well spent =)
We also had great news from the school too.. even tho the school was closed to pupils today, there was an open day for children who will be starting there in September and tonight there is a meeting for the parents to attend too- well, we got a call and Lauren was asked if she would go to play the incidental music whilst everyone was mingling, finding seating and getting drinks for the meeting .. she'll only be playing for 20 minutes or so but she'll be on the grand piano in the main school hall- great practise for the concert on Tuesday =)
