Monday Madness: Quite A Pot Pourri

  1. Do you have a photo blog? If so, feel free to share the link with us! ...not a specific PhotoBlog.. if i have a photo i wish to share i post it here
  2. How many pets do you own, and what are their names? If none, have you had a favorite pet in the past? ...at the moment i just have the two kids ;) ...in the past tho, my favourite pet was Russ -he was a bassett hound/jack russell cross breed and had a heart shape patch in his fur ... i remember the day he was born- he was a friends dogs puppies and was the runt of the litter.. they kept him for a year but he'd follow me to school and he used to follow me home and sit outside the gate... he'd try to poke his nose thro the privet until eventually one day he made a hole and then every morning for about a month when my dad arrived home (he worked nights back then) he'd find him on the doorstep... one morning i came down and Russ was asleep infront of the fire- he never left after that =)
  3. How many times a week does the carpet in your house get vacuumed? ...i vacuum maybe once a week or i'll pull the hoover if there is a Nina/biscuit incident ...hoovering makes me sneeze horrendously tho and my eyes puff up- not a pretty sight =(
  4. Which room in your house do you spend the most time in? ...definitely the kitchen/diner ...i prefer to sit at the dining room table to read or chat and we eat all our meals at the table too ... also, my computer is in that room too... and the kettle... all of lifes essentials =))
  5. Have you read any good books lately? ...not recently- i'm probably due a spurt of reading- i did start to read Gloria Hunnifords book about her daughter, Caron Keating, and her battle against breast cancer- i wasn't in the right frame of mind to read so i put it back but when i am in the right frame of mind i'll read in from cover to cover quite quickly
  6. What is your biggest source of news? (Newspaper? Television? Radio? Other?) ...definitely the internet- every morning i'll load up My Yahoo! and scan the headlines, then i'll go to Sky News and catch up with the latest international and UK news... for local news i have the manchester Evening News delivered everynight but it makes for grim reading most of the time =/

BB7: Day72

BB7 Housemates [L to R] Spiral, Jennie, Jonathan, Jayne, Michael, Suzie, Aisleyne, Sam, Glyn, Dawn, Lisa, Shahbaz, Nikki, George, Lea, Mikey, Imogen, Pete, Grace, Sezer, Bonnie and RichardI couldn't be bothered writing up much about this at the time... PC time is definitely limited just now...boooo!!
The friends who left tonight were Spiral and Michael with only just over 9% in a 'Vote to Save' eviction... its a bit of a shame as Michael was just getting pally with Aisleyne and whilst remaining in the house, Spiral wouldn't have known that Jennie and Aisleyne had voted for him to go.. oh well- at least no nomination damage can be done from outside the house ...pheww

Aileens Last Visit =((

I hadn't been looking forward to today at all.. Aileen been one of only a very small number of people to pass thro my door in recent years and each fortnight i'd get excited at the sight of her car pulling up outside the house just as much as Nina did -i'm such a fool =( ...today was an odd session in that we knew it was the last one but it was like an unspoken secret... things went as per usual and Nina thoroughly enjoyed herself... and then it came to the time to pack up ... Nina and I had spent a couple of days making a card for Aileen using some of the skills that she'd helped Nina with over the previous months: sticking, snipping, glueing, drawing... we had so much fun and the results were so fantastic that i almost couldn't bring myself to part with it when we were done... Nina drew the face and the hair and stuck on the clothes which i cut out of some material that she had chosen and she stuck on the buttons and the hair bow with a little guidance =) ...as you can see.. the finished article really was brilliant:

Nina made Aileen a card.
The inscription inside read: just to say a huge thank you for all that you've done to help, for all the time that you've take to show us how to tackle all of our difficulties and most of all - for bringing out the very best in our cheeky scamp, Nina. We'll miss your visits but we'll always be grateful for everything. I asked Aileen not to open it whilst she was still in the house.. that was probably completely wrong of me but at this point i was already having a good old cry and i don't think it would have taken much to tip Aileen over the edge... as she drove away from the house she didn't look back but she certainly wiping something away from her eyes =( ..Nina was waving and got upset that Aileen hadn't waved... too much =| too too much =(( ...of course, it doesn't take that much to distract Nina and she had a very special gift from Aileen that she didn't put down allllll afternoon:
Nina got a certificate =))

BB7: Day 69
Two Tasks For The Price Of One

This week BB has gone all lovey-dovey and asked the housemates to partner themselves with their best friend... the housemates appeared to do this very technically by pairing up with the person next to them ...as well as hugging your friend for the duration of a song (with a friends connection, played by BB into the house) two days back, one friend had to make a song for their friend and yesterday the friend who made the song wrote a story written about them by their respective friends...awwww... its all been pally pally in the house...for now ;) ...this morning, the friends woke to find the house had been transformed into a prison:
BB7 Prison GatesEach pair of friends were called to the diary room and one had to decide to be the prison officer and the other would be the prisoner ..prisoners have now had their mugshots and fingerprints taken and have been moved to Wing A of the BB Prison under the guidance of 'Big Guv'nor' ...i'm not sure if this is the end of the 'Best Friends' task now- but its nice to see BB putting in a bit of an effort with the tasks ...better late than never =)
Earlier in the week friends were called together by BB to go to the diary room where they had to nominate just one othe housemate (that they agreed on) for eviction.. the twist being that the two with the most nominations would be leaving on Friday with their best friend in tow ...and this week the vote is to save.. not sure whether there is more to that other than more money lining Endemols pockets...grrrrr

Aisleyne

Jennie
There is something underlying with these two.. they seem to get along okay for a short time but there is definitely a disliking and i'm not sure which is the one with the problem.. Aisleyne did admit to Jennie just after they moved back from the House Next Door that she was jealous of Jennie and Pete getting along so well and spending lots of time together but after Aisleynes chat to Michael about Pete and realising why there is jealousy, i thought Jennie and Aisleyne would have gotten along better.. i also think there was resentment from Jennie to Aisleyne as Aisleyne was trying to repair damage she had done before she was 'evcited' whilst still trying to be close to those she'd met in the House Next Door- i don't think Jennie liked that at all ..Jennie on occassiona seems to be trying to make Aisleyne look bad infront of a group -now thats just not on =((
NOMINATED: Spiral
NOMINATED BY: -
Glyn

Mikey
Glyn and Mikey have been getting on really well recently and i think its been a good thing for Glyn altho he needs to put the brakes on with regards his 'journey' .. he's become quite arrogant and big headed ...there's something very eerie about Glyn ..but i can't quite put my finger on it.. of course Mikey's ego have flown having Glyn as his protege... eek! Neither Mikey nor glyn received a single nomination this week- are they both destined for the final week ...oh pullease *yawns
NOMINATED: Richard
NOMINATED BY: -
Imogen

Susie
I thought Susie and Imogen would pair up with Richard and Mikey respectively but this pairing, altho it seemed odd at first, wasn't so bizarre- Imogen and Susie are both girly-girls and i think they appreciated getting to know each other a little better- Imogen even stood up to Mikey when he started on at Susie being out of order- of course, this was mostly left out of the highlights show- i think BB might be getting ready for Imogen and Susie to leave this Friday... that'll only leave two girls in the house with 6 guys ...eek!!
NOMINATED: Michael
NOMINATED BY: Susie nominated by Glyn/Mikey
Jayne - Evicted I just couldn't like her.. she was loud and obnoxious and why nobody ever gave her any shit over the punishments the house received on her behalf i just don't know.. am soooooo glad she didn't stay long =))
Michael

Spiral
Michael and Spiral are so alike (but in different ways) that they just can't get on ...altho the touching moment of Spiral giving Michael a 'God Is Love' keyring was brilliant -Michael was genuinely touched and sat agog for a little while ...they are both quick to lose their temper and i'm just hoping that this isn't the week when they do that with each other
NOMINATED: Richard
NOMINATED BY: Spiral nominated by Aisleyne/Jennie; Michael nominated by Richard/Pete and Imogen/Susie
Pete

Richard
Richard and Pete are the odd couple.. i think Richards heart is in the right place regards Pete but he just doesn't quite understand what it is that Pete really needs.. almost in the same vein as Lea and Nikki.. saying Pete needs his space and then smothering isn't a good tactic ...and of course- its another week where Richard is nominated and yet, not going anywhere... Pete on the otherhand- i think he'd be quite happy to hear his name come Friday evening -you can almost see the will to live seeping from his pores =/
NOMINATED: Michael
NOMINATED BY: Richard nominated by Michael/Spiral

  2. My favorite subject for photographing is my kids.
  3. I use ArcSoft PhotoStudio 2000 most often to edit my photographs altho i am trying to get to grips with the application that came with my camera ...i'm trying to find how to crop portrait photographs and them make them landscape proportions but i'm still resorting to doing it manually for now =(

BB7: Day 65

BB7 Housemates [L to R] Spiral, Jennie, Jonathan, Jayne, Michael, Suzie, Aisleyne, Sam, Glyn, Dawn, Lisa, Shahbaz, Nikki, George, Lea, Mikey, Imogen, Pete, Grace, Sezer, Bonnie and Richard Richard was up for eviction for the fourth time this week but i think he's been lucky with who he has been up against, and also, whats been going on in the house ...his first time was against Lea and Sezer but whilst he wasn't a particular favourite with the public, it wasn't likely he'd go against either of them... Sezer was universally hated so he got the push but even if he hadn't, i'm pretty sure that Lea would have been the second choice to go... against Lea in a head to head Richard got the upper hand but again, if it hadn't been for Lea's constant moaning and manipulation then i think Richard could have been a goner.. and last week Richard was safe again with all but one HM up for eviction and Nikki's nastiness was Richards saving grace.. ...so fourth time around and he's up against the Jayne, who was the reasoning for Nikkis exit last week- she bitched and moaned with Nikki and showed the public just how vile Nikki could be (i'm sure Jayne would have left last week, if she hadn't been exempt) but i think whilst the public were quick to get Nikki out, it was Jayne that they blamed.. plus the fact that she was constantly breaking the rules, farting and burping ..and with 67.1% Jayne was the twelth person to leave the BB house (altho i'm not sure how many were evicted/walked/shoved!) ...the crowd weren't hostile at all.. altho the booing was evident but nothing like Aisleyne heard whilst the evictee announcement was being made ...it didn't sound particularly loud, and it didn't seem to be a universal chant of 'Aisleyne Out' ...more likely the Nikki fans (the same voices seemed to be shouting 'Nikki Back In' just moments before) were stood close to one of the mikes maybe.. i don't know, altho i do wish Aisleyne would listen to the advice the other housemates are offering her and toughen up a little- maybe BB should go back to making the announcements in the studio because since the 'Get Grace Out' chants, there hasn't been a week where the crowd haven't interfered in some way =/
Brief details of the forthcoming task were given by Davina at the end of her interview with Jayne and next Friday two housemates will be leaving BB7 for good =) ... a 'pairing up' task with best buddies leaving the house together next week... its got so much potential- surely its gonna go wrong somewhere *sighs*

Lack of Communication

Thro the post today i received an appointment for a precedure i wasn't aware i needed to have =(( ..i called my GP who had no knowledge of it and i called Hope Hospital who sent the appointment out but they haven't returned my call so far... i got myself in a panic and i hoped over nothing but it seems this is a follow on from the appointment that i had last month- now i'm not even sure if i blogged that i was in hospital last month ... i'm still trying to find out exactly why i am requested to have this secondary investigative work but i've calmed down a little now and read the information provided again and it does appear that i've been referred by the guy i saw last month but it would be nice to know the difinite medical reasons why =(( ..surely my GP should be kept informed of anything thats going on considering she was the person who initially referred me =(( ...when i know more i'll post more =/

Busy Busy Busy

It's too hot to be this busy *flicks sweat at the monitor .. this morning Nina and I went to Opportunity Group for the very last time =(( ...it was awful.. well, the group wasn't but the feeling deep in the pit of my stomach was ..i was enjoying it so much and that felt wrong- i actually felt guilty =/ ..it was a teddy bears picnic and i let Nina choose the teddy she wanted to take (with Lauren i would have coaxed her to the teddy that i wanted her to take and i am trying to learn from my mistakes) ..i don't think it helped that she pulled out the very first teddy she ever got, only a little doggy but it was bigger than she was when she was born and i was feeling sentimental as it was.. we were late arriving due to an accident on the roads and i felt like all eyes were on us -i still haven't shaken that feeling and we've been attending now for almost five months =( ..as a treat we were going to go outside and play- glorious (Tilly-melting) sunshine and a field full of toys and activities... Nina particularly loves the little parachute when Aileen comes so when she saw the enormous version they pulled out she was totally in her element

Ninas Teddy Bears Picnic Once back inside the kids all sat down to have a drink and some treats together and Nina took no time in finding herself a seat and starting jabbering away to the poor lad next to her *L .. who'd have thought huh =)) .. everything ran pretty much as a normal group would from there... a little playtime before tidying up and singing a few songs.. Nina was in fine tune again and thats when it hit me that we wouldn't be going again and just how far we'd come in such a short time ...all the other kids had gotten bored towards the end but Nina was still going strong singing 'Time to go Home' in the middle of the mats so i went to collect our bags ...Jill and Lyndsey were both in tears when we said our goodbyes =(( .. *sighs* i tried, but am crap *L .. such an emotional fish i swear *L .. even Kevin the taximan said they shouldn't have told me this was the last one until i'd gotten home and he even applauded me on bringing up such a lovely polite child and he pointed out that he had seen such great improvement from Nina and that she was going to get on great in this world ..bless him =) i hope we cross paths again ...the big deal tho- and its hitting me hard as i type- is that Nina just doesn't get it- she doesn't understand that we won't be going back, just as much as she doesn't understand that Aileen won't visit after next week- thats what hurts.. she's constantly going on about them both now, they are part of her little world and it hurts that whilst i know she'll forget and move on, she'll have no recollection of these people as other people and events come into her life- roll on September i suppose, when Nina believes she is going to be going to school with Lauren *LMAO -i'll explain that to her better nearer the time i think =))

However, moving onto 'Mummys Little Precious' ...this evening we were invited to attend a Presentation Evening at Laurens school- i thought it was a standard thing and would be extremely boring so i didn't action the letter that i received thro the post at the weekend until Lauren informs me late last night that actually, this is a personal invite and only those specifically chosen to attend have received such invitation .... oooooooooh *vbg ...not only that, but for the second time in a week, Lauren has been asked to provide the incidental music on the piano for a school event -i am one VERY proud mummy today =)) .. so, in all seriousness, i am not looking forward to spending an hour (yeah right, an hour...pftt!) in the school hall where we will be squeezed in on one of the hottest days in the UK ever whilst the teacher drones on and on about how wonderful the school is and how amazing everyone is .. and basically, its going to be a Love-Fest for sure *L .. (i'm pleasantly surprised when the whole thing is done and dusted in just under forty minutes *gasps*) ...we arrive just in time to catch Laurens best friend (and her mum) walking thro the door so at least i have someone (said friends mum) to sit with .. and then we find a seat whilst Lauren sets up the baby grand in the corner of the hall- i have a perfect spot to watch her whilst she has no clue where i am sat .. sneaky ;) ..its odd to see her on such a big piano whilst we only have a keyboard at home but she isn't phased at all.. and by 'at all' i mean she is sat playing the piano whilst leaning to one side chatting with her friends *LOL ...i'm far more nervous than she is but i had that welling up feeling inside, even more so when i heard the people behind me saying how awesome she was -i was going to do yet another '*vbg' then but i've done a few too many already, but.. grinning like a Cheshire Cat i was =)) when everyone was seated, before the ceremony officially began, Lauren got a mention, and thanked for playing along with raptuous applause -she took it all in her stride- i cried ...again ;) ..the award Lauren received was a "Subject Award" and she gained hers for her School Years music lessons- for insight, enthusiasm, progress and other such stuff the Head Teacher spouted about her

Laurens Presentation Evening Laurens decided to keep her certificate (and program) in an album along with other notifications she has received in the last nine months and the gift voucher she received as a further incentive, she plans to spend on more music books =))

Today is officially 'Big Up My Kids Because I Am The Proudest Ever Mummy' Day ;)

BB7: Day 62

The first surprise about nominations this week was that there wasn't a twist- everyone appeared to nominate as is the norm... the second surprise, to me, was that there were only two housemates up for eviction... i thought Jayne would have got far more nominations than she did but i'm surprised that there weren't three or four up this week..

Aisleyne I think Aisleyne is great but she's getting a really hard time from BB since Nikki left =( they seem to really have it in for Aisleyne and I'm wondering whether they are trying to pigeon hole her into the same role as Makosi last year- the pantomine villian.. the baddie who nearly gets the golden prize but is beaten off just before the end of the story =(( .. Aisleyne is joint top for my hopeful BB7 Winner now -my fingers are crossed!
NOMINATED: Jayne and Richard
NOMINATED BY: Jayne and Richard
Glyn There is a strong undercurrent of gameplay to Glyn... i'm not sure if the village idiot act is kosher anymore... its wearing a bit thin and he's got quite a nasty streak running thro him =( .. that said, he did nearly burn down the house whilst making porrige in the wee hours... and he did think semi skimmed milk was English milk and sterilised milk was Welsh milk ...maybe he really is just very, very dumb *shrugs
NOMINATED: Susie and Jayne
NOMINATED BY: -
Imogen Imogens had a really hard time of it this week- lack of food isn't doing her any good at all and i think she might be the first person to say 'I want to leave' and actually mean it =( .. i can't say for sure whether i think she'll actually walk- i think she'd be mroe likely to just go around the HMs and ask them to nominate her one week.. i hope she doesn't go tho -she's bringing more and more to the house with each passing day =)
NOMINATED: Richard and Jayne
NOMINATED BY: Jayne
Jayne - Nominated Jayne just can't help herself!! ..punishments so far against her are: hot water only 1 hour a day, no bath, no pool, basic food rations, everyone up for eviction... i think thats it.. she constantly talks about the outside, doesn't wear her mike when she should, then doesn't take it off to go for a swim in the pool... she discusses nominations and who she wants out and who's she nominated.. its ridiculous- i'm just hoping the GBP don't do anything silly this week ...eek!! NOMINATED: Aisleyne and Imogen
NOMINATED BY: Aisleyne, Glyn, Imogen and Jennie
Jennie Jennies quite feisty when she wants to be sin't she? .. she's happy to fight her corner and thats not a bad thing.. except she managed to get herself a fair few votes in this weeks nominations which surprised me somewhat... i hope she stays as she might be young but she's able to fit in with almost everyone in the house and thats to be applauded =)
NOMINATED: Michael and Jayne
NOMINATED BY: Michael and Spiral
Michael Michael knows everything about everything and everyone.. "Whats the capital of Florida?" ...he's a bit odd- Scruples the cat is odd too -not sure which gives me the heebee-jeebees more *shudders
NOMINATED: Jennie and Richard
NOMINATED BY: Jennie, Pete and Susie
Mikey I'm liking Mikey 'Prince What-a-Prick' most of the time- and hating him the rest *LOL ...he's using Glyn as his pawn at the moment- filling Glyns head with stuff then setting him off to complete Mikeys evil ways... okay, maybe thats over the top a little but Mikey ahs been showing rather a dark side this past week- i'm keeping a very suspicious eye on him now ...*taps nose
NOMINATED: Richard and Susie
NOMINATED BY: -
Nikki - Evicted OMG .. i take it all back- the Great British Public aren't all idiots after all - In an 11 horse race (no pun intended) Nikki managed a whopping 37.2% of the vote *gasps* ...hahahaha.. *splutters* .. hahahaha..
Q. do i hate to love, or love to hate Nikki..?
A. even now she is out of the house she's still spouting trout!! =((
Pete Pete is just a miserable git this week - SNAP OUTTA IT PETE!! ..he's missing Nikki far more than i thought he would and possibly the only thing that will take his mind off Nikki going is another eviction.. or a good old snog from Aisleyne ;) ... that seems to make him forget Nikki rather rapidly ;)
NOMINATED: Spiral and Michael
NOMINATED BY: -
Richard - Nominated Richards catty one-liners are getting much much better- still a queen bitch but he's got better people to attack now *vbg
Jayne: 'Big belch' in the bedroom
Richard: You do that again, I swear to God.
Jayne: You'll spank me!
Richard: No, I rip your lungs out and shove them up your ass.
........miiiiiiaaaaooooow!! ..i think against Jayne, anyone was safe this week =))
NOMINATED: Aisleyne and Spiral
NOMINATED BY: Aisleyne, Imogen, Michael, Mikey and Spiral
Spiral Spoiral [sic] has got one hell of a temper on him- maybe its due to the need to feed but all the same- he's kicked off at Jennie this week and it cost him quite a few nominations.. i don't mind him so much when he's upbeat and fun but when he's mouthy, grumpy and snappy he's just another twit who's gotta go =(
NOMINATED: Jennie and Richard
NOMINATED BY: Pete, Richard and Susie
Susie Susies has had to play mum this week and its not going down too well with the kids ;) ...Susie has been keeping her own goodies in her drawers (under her bed - not in her panties *LOL) .. only this week with basic rations and rumbly tummies everyones after a piece of Susies PMT chocolate - she's not caving - its a good job they don't know she's taken the sugar out of the cupboard too =) .. i'm liking Susie more and more- that house needs a steady person and Susie was made to fit that role =)

Happy Birthday Dad

My dads bought himself a birthday treat- a new car *vbg .. he so deserves it and it just wasn't worth spending the £400 necessary on the heap he had before, just to get it thro its MOT and then to still not be sure whether it'll get him to work each morning.. so he decided that he'd get himself something to tie him over until the house sells and they move to Greece but as they won't be taking the car with them so they aren't planning on keeping it too long ..it's lovely.. only an 'S' reg Rover but the heap was 17 years old so this is new to my dad =) .. he doesn't get much and is so appreciative of everything so it was lovely to see his face light up when we got him the obligatory bottle of his favourite greek wine and some pyjamas and boxers (he's a brief man normally but we're dragging him into the 00s kicking and screaming *L) ...we spent the afternoon sat in the garden under the gazebo (which is a St George flag *blushes* and he is planning to take that abroad *LOL...typical Brit) ..anyhoo- the bar-b-cue was going and we had a delicious lunch of salad, bar-b-cued sweetcorn, lamb and pork ribs, cumberland herb sausages and homemade burgers ...umm-yumm =)) ...Nina was great all day altho Lauren was hard work as she stayed overnight at a friends and obviously didn't get the best nights sleep altho she'd never have admitted that! ..we've not been back too long and now i need to kip too ...my first early night in ages =)

Photo Friday: Remarkable

Okay- i might be scraping the barrel with this post (again its personal) but when i look back to January, and our first visit from Jo and Joanne from Portage, then you might understand where i am coming from. Whenever we had visitors Nina would cower in the corner with her back to the room. She'd do a very good job of looking like she was enthralled by the item infront of her but the reality was that she didn't feel comfortable with anyone other than myself, Ben or Lauren. Even my parents calling on spec would cause major upset with Nina covering her ears and screaming out, sometimes for up to an hour! Our first visit from Aileen was an hour spent trying to get Nina to look up, even if just thro her fringe, to show that she was paying any attention to what we were saying. The first time we went to Opportunity Group Nina didn't interact with a single person or child ... she wouldn't go for a drink with the other kids, even tho there were biscuits on offer and she didn't sing along with any of the songs that she knew =( .. now i can't believe that she mentions OG constantly, regardless of whether we are going or not, and she says hello by name to the people who help to run the group, she stands in the middle of the circle and dances and sings out loud to her hearts content and runs to find people to say thank you and goodbye when we leave... she even chats with the taxi drivers who drive us there and back each week... Nina is a totally different child and the change in her is ___________

BB7: The Irony's Not Lost On Me

BB7 Housemates [L to R] Spiral, Jennie, Jonathan, Jayne, Michael, Suzie, Aisleyne, Sam, Glyn, Dawn, Lisa, Shahbaz, Nikki, George, Lea, Mikey, Imogen, Pete, Grace, Sezer, Bonnie and Richard Day 58 and Nikki has left the building -by being dragged out of the house by Davina whilst wailing and being generally weird!! ...*cue raptuous applause for the entire voting GBP
Nikki routing for the woman who was the cause of Nikki being up for eviction is odd in itself but considering Jayne was talking about things on the outside that gave Nikki the impression that she was loved by the GBP, and that Aisleyne was the most hated woman alive, i think its fucking magical that with the whole house up for eviction, Nikki is the one who left with a whopping 37.2% of the vote!! holy cow- thats only 62.8% between the other 10 up for eviction *LOL ..Jayne, who i truly believe thought she was doing Nikki some good, sent Nikkis mouth into bitchy paranoia overdrive and she, Nikki, was basically a moody, self obssessed nasty piece of work allll week long... i'm hoping now that Nikki goes and gets the obvious help that she needs and gets herself a little self awareness.. and disappears back to China Whites to mingle with other people who think nothing of anyone but themselves =/ ...rant over!

The End of a Red Era?

Click to visit One Red Paperclip When i read a little while back that Kyle MacDonald was going to end his quest (to go from paperclip to house) exactly one year from the day he first placed an ad on blogspot i really didn't think it would be possible for Kyle to get to where he wanted to be =( ..i jumped on Kyles bandwagon about 5 steps in and wasn't convinced that he'd ever get to the 'big prize' but with gathering momentum i soon came round to thinking this guys got balls and the house was a real possibility.. i had the same reaction as most of the people who commented when Kyle traded 'An Afternoon with Alice Cooper' for a Kiss Snowglobe..? ...surely Alice was worth more than that to someone, anyone? ..i lost my faith momentarily- until Kyle (who no-doubtedly had insider information) revealed that Corbin Bernsen was an avid collector of snowglobes and there was a role in a Hollywood movie up for grabs in return for that trade... the offers coming in were totally off key: cows, guided tours, knife collections, gold teeth, motorbikes, holidays .. the list was (not really, but metaphorically) endless but nothing could match the offer from the town of Kipling Saskatchewan: 503 Main Street
So i'm kinda sad today, but as 'they' say "all good things....." ...but with the offer of book publishings and movie roles in the pipeline i'm sure Kyle's gonna be around for a little while yet
Congratulations Kyle and Dom -and i hope your home is a happy one =))

BB7: Day 54

Nikki, Richard and Aisleyne React to the Nomination Twist OMG!! As a result of Jayne being an obnoxious loudmouth who can't follow the rules when they are spelt out to her over and over and over again, all of the Housemates are up for eviction this week...all bar Jayne that is... and this lot seem to have taken it on the chin.. i wouldn't mind but the housemates are so thick that they haven't even picked up on what Jayne was spouting so it wouldn't have made any difference anyway...grrrr!! I think this is Endemols chance to make themselves a fortune because if you've got your favourite housemate and you really want to try to keep them in the house then you will have to repeatedly ring to vote for the opposition- its a good job i don't care enough *LOL

Aisleyne - Nominated Aisleyne hasn't done too bad since she 'came back' .. i thought she was going to be the outsider until certain housemates got the chance to get rid for real... she tried too many times in my mind to make up with Nikki this week and should have given up but to her detriment she's come out of it with more dignity -that sorted, i'm hoping she concentrates more on her buddy Pete- they did some 'proper snoggin' last night and i think they go real well together =)

NOMINATED BY: BB because of Jayne
Glyn - Nominated Glyns doing okay this week i think.. he's got his fingers in many pies and keeping everyone sweet- generally being inoffensive ...this weeks he's gone bleach blonde and it suits him bizarrely ...and he got his eye on the ball too: Spiral like Ash, Ash doesn't like Spiral, Nikki likes Pete but Pete likes Ash and Ash likes Pete...ooooh ;)

Imogen - Nominated Imogens been getting her groove on this week...taking part in games more, being more outspoken and just generally making her presence more felt- i'd say it was because of the diminishing amount of housemates but with 4 new 'uns that can't be the case so i'm going to blame Grace again- thats my motto- if in doubt- blame Grace =)

Jayne - Nominated I was so looking forward to watching Jayne leave on Friday- hell, i'd even built myself up hoping that Big Brother would do us all a favour and make up enough stuff to warrant throwing her out of the back door but oh no! BBs punishment for jayne repeatedly ignoring BBs warning about talking about nominations', 'who she is going to nominate', 'who should be out next week' and 'what is happening on the outside' was to put everyone else up for nomination and let Jayne stay for another week- i can only hope that enough HMs bear a grudge for next week...grrrr!
NOMINATED: Everyone
NOMINATED BY: -
Jennie - Nominated Jennie is a bright little spark- she's put people in their place when they have been out of order where others would have gone off to bitch to someone else about it- she's getting involved and being friendly to everyone altho Nikki has been a hard nut to crack =/
NOMINATED: n/a
NOMINATED BY: BB because of Jayne
Michael - Nominated I thought Jayne and Michael would be inseperable once in the main house but i think now they don't have to be so quiet Michaels realised just how OTT Jayne can be.. he doesn't seem to mind when the time is appropriate (Jayne doesn't know the meaning of that word) but i don't think he's as taken with her as he thought he'd be
NOMINATED: n/a
NOMINATED BY: BB because of Jayne
Mikey - Nominated Mikey is still unaware that he is a free man with Graces blessings and i am still hoping that he, and Imogen, get blind drunk one night and finally get it on *L .. even Truth or Dare would be a start- everyone else is having a snog ...go ooooon Mikey- you know you want to ;)

NOMINATED BY: BB because of Jayne
Nikki - Nominated I want her gone! ..she's a self-obsessed, vindictive, bull-shitting, nasty piece of work and the sooner she is out of BB and disappears for good the better ...arrrrrrggggghhhh!!
Q. do i hate to love, or love to hate Nikki..?
A. i despise with a passion!

NOMINATED BY: BB because of Jayne
Pete - Nominated hmm-hmmm! ...Pete's looking mighty fine at the minute and its not because of the blonde mohican he's now sporting because i thought this before he got his hair did [sic] .. this week he decided pampering to Nikki's every whim was just not on & told her she was paranoid, had to get over it & she was being unfair accusing others of bullying- I LOVE YOU, PETE!
i think generally he's now enjoying his time much more in the house and snoggin' the face off Aisleyne the other night ...woof! lay that pipe!! *LOL ..he's just so much more relaxed now...wouldn't have anything to do with Lea leaving last week, would it ;)
NOMINATED: n/a
NOMINATED BY: BB because of Jayne
Richard - Nominated - Nominated I think Richard is lucky that everyone (-1) is up for eviction this week because he could quite easily have been a target again and last week the only reason he stayed was because he was up against Lea and even that was far closer than he would have liked... he's done good this week, telling Nikki that her problems with Aisleyne are her problems and Aisleyne can't be blamed for that *LMAO ... it's not going to win him the big prize but it made me laugh to see Nikki narked again *L
NOMINATED: n/a
NOMINATED BY: BB because of Jayne
Spiral - Nominated Spoiral [sic] has been really funny but his protective arm around Aisleyne got too tight and now he's miffed because Asileyne chose not to snog him during Truth or Dare ..he showed a nasty side when he spotted Nikki pulling a gurning face whilst looking at him and it might cost him his place in the BB house.. oh no- he didn't lamp her but i think the public might not like that reaction =/
NOMINATED: n/a
NOMINATED BY: BB because of Jayne
Susie - Nominated Could Susie go because she is boring? i don't think so- like Richard, i think the whole house being up for nomination might buy her another week... she could be there for a couple more at least... who'd have thought that after the reception she got from the original housemates
she's got quite a calming influence over the house just now... bloody good job or they'd have killed eachother by now
