Hair on my Chinny-Chin-Chin!!

Everyone had left this morning to go where they needed to be- school and work- and i was just wandering around putting things in their places; tidied away the bathroom things, straightened my bed and turned the alarm back on and suchlike- then went into the girls room to make sure the beds were made and the jammies weren't lying all over the floor as per.. caught sight of myself in the mirror with the sunlight shining on me thro the window and *screeeeeaaaams* .. there is was, all on it's ownio, hanging a little more than a centimetre.. (a centimetre!!) ..a baby blonde hair =O ..WTF!!

So, i did what any woman would do and just yanked at it- removing the evidence pronto! ..only now i'm not sure if it was actually mine.. i mean it was stuck to me but i did feel anything removing it and i've no signs of pluckage *LOL

I'm certainly on the lookout now, don't get me wrong, i've been growning old disgracefully since i was about twenty two but a hair? ..a hair?!

Saturday 9: That's What Friends Are For

1. Do you have a best friend? If yes, tell us about how you met and how long you have been friends. ...at the moment i don't think i have =( ..Ben would fit the bill if he wasn't so close to home, and the same for my sister.. i'm thankful for online friends without preconceptions most of the time =/
2. Over the years, how many people have you considered a “best friend”? ...3, maybe 4 at a push. There was my primary school and then secondary school best friends, and then GlamourPuss and I were friends for a long time before that went massively wrong.. the only other i'd maybe consider a best friend was the Midwife but she went off the rails and changed- i miss her an awful lot but i'm glad she moved away.
3. Who was your first “best friend”? ...Caroline =)) ..she was great at the time- the girl every boy fancied, and who ever girl wanted to be. We went to the same secondary school but we both went our seperate ways even tho we were in the same form. By the end of school she could be summed up by the fact she wanted to be a vet but couldn't get the grades. It was suggested she became a vetinary assistant only her mother said that wasn't good enough for her daughter =O ..i think she is now a legal secretary and rhe's recently just had her first child
4. Every person you ask about lovers say, “I want a best friend”. Do you really think a lover can be a best friend? ...i think they can to an extent, only sometimes it's them you feel the need to moan about which puts a difficult spin on it. I suppose tho, if you think about it, if your best friend is a friend who do you go to when you want to have a good moan about them? Thinking about it deeper i guess they could be =) Thinking back to Q1, i guess Ben is my bestest friend really ♥
5. Have any of your lovers been your best friend (at the time)? If yes, tell us about one. ...my Peachy ♥ ..i had good friends at the time, but lots of them but it was him who i'd have said was my closest friend, if not best friend.
6. Have you ever mixed sex into friendship? If yes, what happened? ...Alcohol and single friends is NOT a good mix *giggles* Stupot got a bit frisky.. Jamiroquai and Megadrives .. oh gawd.. i'd forgotten about this til now *blushes* ..we didn't have sex, but we did take things further than we probably should have- it was fun tho, and even the embarrassing first next meeting was hilarious ..spontaneity was the key i reckon =))
7. What is your favorite song about friendship? Why? ...everyone loves 'You got a Friend' by James Taylor but i've also got a soft spot for 'Friends will be Friends' by Queen- very emotional and the words are right on the money:

8. Name a celebrity you would like to be friends with. Why? ...Johnny Depp would be a riot wouldn't he =) .. I'd like to imagine we'd talk about anything from films, books, art, music, politics and utter shite, we'd party til all hours and have quiet nights in, stay up too late and go to bed early.. alsorts of literally everything ..and you know if you got in trouble, he'd not be a knight in shining armour coming to bail you out cus he'd be sat right beside you, getting in trouble too =D
9. Is your current best friend, the “best” best friend you have ever had? ...possibly, but in a different way =/

A Blogful of Memes..?

I thought that posting would come easier to me now i know what the 'problems' are, only whats come with having labels given to the girls is the ability to talk more freely about the whys and hows, and the ups and the downs. In turn thats meant that the posts i've done so far have been quite honest and damning and that made publishing them difficult =/

We've still not spoken to Lauren about what the hospital said. CAHMS suggested we tell her when we feel the time is right, well actually, they said to tell her when the time isn't wrong and so far it has been! We're now considering how to go about letting her know tho- part of the issue we're going thro now is that Lauren is not accepting of any problems and so we're getting further down the wrong track. Maybe if she knew she'd be more open to information and understanding but our concern is that it will either lead to her kicking out and feeling more isolated than before, or even worse from my point of view, she'll embrace it, tell the world and use it to her advantage =/

Saturday 9: The Fastest Day

1. Is there a day of the week that time seems to fly by faster than the other days? ...Usually Sundays =(( ..I always like the idea of watching a decent game of football, making a roast dinner, getting the kids in bed and then watching a film curled up on the couch with Ben- never manage to fit all of those things in tho =/
2. Is there a day of the week that seems to never end? ...Weekdays generally go slow =(( ..don't get me wrong, i appreciate time on my own when the girls are at school and Ben is at work but i also look forward to them getting back ..which takes for---ever =((
3. Have you ever had a strong crush on someone, but did not say anything to that person? If yes, why? ...I really hit it off with someone when i first got online. We'd talk for ages about literally nothing and i did do quite a bit of 'what if' thinking. Seeing him show up as online gave me butterflies but it was only when he came to me about someone else who'd said they liked him even tho he was in a relationship that i realised it wasn't a good idea to be thinking that way =/
4. Have you had a crush in secret and then told that person? If yes, what happened? ...I think telling someone you've got a crush on them, unless you've an idea they might feel the same way, is so NOT a good idea =/ ..it leaves you open to be used and manipulated =( ..my 'peach' is the only person i took that risk with and we ended up together for a brief time =)) ..i've just been contacted by an old friend who admitted to me at the time that they like him and it did cause a bit of a wedge but i wouldn't change that time for anything.
5. Have you ever been stalked? ...i used to get malicious phonecalls- turns out it was someone doing it because they liked me... LIKED ME??! Freak!!
6. Have you ever, in retrospect, stalked someone? ...i wouldn't say stalked- thats such a negative word ..eek!! I did used to try to make sure i was in particular places at particular times to be able to bump into my 'peach' .. he got wise and used to turn up at places early then sit waiting for me *LOL
7. Have you ever slept with someone on a first date? ...ermmmm... not a first date, but quite early in a relationship- i've never had a one night stand tho.. is that too much information??
8. Have you ever regretted not sleeping with someone? ...not that i can remember- i obviously don't regret it that much =D
9. What attracts you first to someone else (sexually, romantically or both...you chose)? ...hands and skin- i've a thing about those things .. sexually? .. i suppose just a good looking bloke really altho i've never chosen people literally because of their looks- personality ocunts for SO much .. romantically? ..well, someone who gives a shit is always good for starters.

Saturday 9: Sweet Dreams Are Made of This

1. Do you ever have trouble sleeping? ...i used to suffer terribly with my sleeping patterns. I've often said i need to have 28hrs in a day- 20 to get tired but then i still need my 8hrs to feel decent when i wake up- i've never been lucky enough to live like that tho. When i worked before the kids came along i used to sleep from 6pm til mignight and then get up, potter about and do my thing til i went to work about 7.30am -it wouldn't work for everyone, and i was quite a bit younger but it was great for me and the lifestyle i had at the time. Now i try to go to bed around midnight but i never quite manage it. I wouldn't mind but i can fall asleep in a chair sat up thro the day, so what gives..?!
2. Do you remember your dreams? ...it depends how vivid they are i guess. I don't remember nice dreams but i have woken up screaming or in tears because of scary/awful dreams. I never see faces in dreams but i always know who people are, usually people very close to me and it normal for me to know the place the dreams occurs even if it's somewhere i've not been for years =/
3. When you can’t sleep at night, are you worried about something? ...sometimes- i've learnt that having a pad and pen next to my bed is a great help- if i think of something that i need to do the following day then i'll make a note of it and then i can sleep happy that it doesn't matter if i forget =)
4. What are your plans today? ...how sad is this- i'm going to change my loo seat shortly and hang a new shower curtain! beat that :Þ
5. What TV character are you most like? ...TV character? ermm.. i don't know off the top of my head- i'd like to be like woman women tho ;))
6. What is your favorite thing to do online? ...i like to browse, chat, buy, ... the usual stuff really.. i also like being productive and do have a few little projects that keep me busy =)
7. Did your father go to college? If yes, where? ...my dad went straight into an engineering apprenticeship from schooling- he stayed in the same job for a long time until he was made redundant. After leaving there he decided he was going to become a milkman- a job he'd always wanted to do and he did that for a number of years until he started to struggle with his hands in the cold. He went back to working as an engineer until a delivery driver position became available at the place he worked and so he was out on the road and loving it which led to him making a decision to become a driving instructor which was a gamble, with a lot of expenditure, a gamble that didn't really pay off altho i'm sure he's glad he did it. He went back to delivery driving for Alsports until he took the decision to semi-retire when he was 57 and to move abroad.
8. If you had to share an office at work, what type of person would be the easiest for you to share with? ...anyone nice really- i don't care about where you're from, where you've been, who you're with but if you aren't a generally decent human being then i don't want to know!
9. Name a star that no one would guess that you are a “closet fan” of? ...my dirty secret has always been Big Brother- a couple of years back tho Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace had a major effect on me and i do help out with a fansite for her now, altho things have really slowed down recently which is a shame =(
